Lake bed patrols

I read that the lake area residents of Keystone Hgts. are continuing to have problems with people destroying the lake beds. The Sheriff's answer to the problem was to advertise for deputies to work OVERTIME to try and catch the perps. No one volunteered, and no one had the intestinal fortitude to have someone do the duty so here is what was done. The crackerjack robbery/homicide unit was utilized to try and catch the desperados. Now remember we have how many unsolved robberies and how many unsolved or ineptly handled homicides) to date. Can someone furnish the answer? Anyhow, instead of these specialized investigators and supervisors working on the very cases the unit was created to work (nicknamed the untouchables) they are instead being used for covert operations for lake bed perp.

Sheppard's Letter part II

Actually I was supporting Ennis but that opportunity is no longer available. I like Gary Newman and I do not know much about Taylor.

What I do know is that Sheriff Beseler took a very talented and effective agency and turned it upside down.

This was accomplished through some of the most blatant "good ole boy" politics ever known to man.

Bringing in 7 friends and giving them jobs which they are hardly qualified to hold.

Example:Inspector (Hendry)- no duty assignment and no responsibility,

Operations Major (Aldrich)- was once a city policeman in GCS, was a deputy at the CCSO for a couple of years, then an investigator at the SAO.  Took over all law enforcement operations (SWAT,Dive,FTO) except traffic and SRO, over 200 people with NO supervisor experience. Was introduced as the protege when the sheriff was sworn in, but later replaced by Terry LaCasse because he was ineffective and the sheriff hoped Terry could win the deputies over. Didn't work.

Sheppard's Letter

Why was Bill Sheppard's letter removed from the this cite?

Bill Sheppards letter about S.O. and SAO

Had a chance to read the letter Bill Sheppard wrote pertaining to the Sheriff's Office incompetency and the laziness of the SAO to do something about it.  What a calamity of errors.

This make two murders go unpunished because of the Sheriffs and his buddies. incompetence.

Please find someone with a copy (the FOP has some) and read it. Draw conclusions from the facts, everyone talks about, as apparently on the job reporting is not good enough for some of the readers.

Loyalty is more important than competence. What a joke.

Murder Charges Dropped

Can anyone shed light on the rumor that murder charges against the man in Grove Park have been dropped?  Improper investigation is reportedly the cause.

Another Sheriff Candidate

I hear that we now have another candidate for Clay County Sheriff. I will not mention his name as that is his job.

This gentleman used to work for the S.O. as an electrician and was well liked, and did fine work. He left the S.O. for several years and then asked Rick to hire him back, but was refused.

Now he wants to run for the office, or does he? Is he being put in the race by Rick to divide the vote, with the promise to hire him if Rick is re-elected?

This gentleman has deep spiritual ties around the county which could be used by the Rickster to counter the Taylor campaign.

debate II

the FOP voted to hold this debate at its regular meeting held the second Tuesday in Dec.  The Sheriffs letter indicating he would not attend was recieved last week. The FOP did not schedule the dates to avoid the Sheriff's attendance. On the contrary, the membership wanted him to attend along with the other candidates. The previously mentioned letter announcing the debate also invited each candiate to attend a social event at the lodge on the 8th and 9th of January. The Sheriff declined this invitation as well. The overwhelming support the Union recieved from the deputy's and supervisors may have given the Sheriff a hint that all is not well and he may not have the FOP endorsement in the bag as he had thought.

Sheriff's debate

It will take three hours for all four candidates to give information needed for the public to begin making a decision. You seem to have some conspiracy theories as to the venue of the debate. I can tell you that this location was chosen to AVOID the appearence of shenanigans as opposed to churches, schools, and businesses. The FOP paid for the room where the debate will take place. You mention the utility tax, now I wonder IF this was such a terrible thing, why wasn't it repealed after those evil people were removed from office? Where is Mr. Smith when you need him? I suppose it is because you and the other county entities enjoy the spoils of the tax. As far as the debate, it will be interesting to hear some new ideas concerning the S.O. as what we have heard for three years is stale, I mean how long can you blame others for your incompetence and ineffective leadership.

Debate

I hope everyone comes to the debate. It should prove enlightening and entertaining. The problem with being an independent is that "the pack of hungry dogs" will pick the candidates without you having a say in the matter. The debate will give the canditates thier first chance to face a crowd and one another. It should be easy to see the candidates develop thier platforms as each week passes. To be in on the first contact will benefit all concerned. Lets pack the house and start these campaigns with the enthusiasim they deserve.
