Jacksonville and Orange Park, Florida will host a group of International students arriving on July 2, 2008 and departing July 29, 2008. The students are coming to our area to improve their English language skills and to experience American family life. EF Educational Homestay Program is looking for short-term host families to welcome these students into their homes. Host families are being asked to provide a bed for the student to sleep in, transportation to and from a designated bus stop in your area, meals and a warm, loving environment for the student to spend their evenings and weekends. During the week, students will attend English classes each morning and field trips each afternoon. The program is supported by round the clock staff and students are fully insured. Many of these students have dreamed their entire life of coming to the United States. They have studied English in school and are eager to spend their summer learning first hand about our family life, culture and community. High School age students of Host Families may earn 60 community service hours toward graduation & scholarship requirements based on your schools acceptance.

The students are coming to our area to improve their English language skills and to experience American family life. EF Educational Homestay Program is looking for short-term host families to welcome these students into their homes. Host families are being asked to provide a bed for the student to sleep in, transportation to and from a designated bus stop in your area, meals and a warm, loving environment for the student to spend their evenings and weekends. During the week, students will attend English classes each morning and field trips each afternoon. The program is supported by round the clock staff and students are fully insured. Many of these students have dreamed their entire life of coming to the United States. They have studied English in school and are eager to spend their summer learning first hand about our family life, culture and community. High School age students of Host Families may earn 60 community service hours toward graduation & scholarship requirements based on your schools acceptance.

The Gockle 5K “Run for the Prize” honors the memory of a young man whose passion was to see the youth of this generation grow outside of themselves and bring life and love to those who are hopeless and hurting. This run will raise funds to send today’s youth to the nations to carry on the vision that Johnny Hohman pursued in his love for people regardless of stature or position. Persevering through years of kidney dialysis, Johnny never gave up and inspired his family, friends, and youth group to “run for the prize” of living an overcoming life. Johnny entered this life July 25, 1977 and entered perfection February 28, 2007.
