Man on Blanding Blvd.

What was up with that guy standing on the intersection of Kingsley and Blanding this morning 02/15/07 between 8am and 9am?  He was holding up a large sign that read "Clay County Officers are Ciminals" and had a white t-shirt on that said "Kill a Cop".  Anyone have any ideas/comments?

He was also out at Thunderbolt Elementary this afternoon.  Any kind of information would be appreciated.

We don't know much either, but a spokesperson with the Clay County Sheriff's Office says it is this man's way of displaying his anger at having gotten a speeding ticket.

Isn't it against the law to wear a piece of clothing with a threat being displayed, like "Kill a cop"?

It's a free country.

Offensive yes, but absent obscenity, probably not illegal while in public.

Wearing such a shirt would likely see one barred from entering schools, and in one case I read recently, from getting on a plane.

I should have read all the blogs before I posted mine.  Didn't know someone had already mentioned this.  Gotta say, the man pissed me off.

That's true but it happened in Australia. They are smarter there.
