We removed the blog by RLyons because we felt that the blog by user RLyons was a personal attack. As we have mentioned in the past, we can not allow personal attacks on MyClaySun.com.

Lamar, I agree with Marsha. I once repeated something I heard from a friend and was called out for lodging a personal attack - which was the farthest thing from my mind. I found the story funny and offered it on that basis. It obviously wasn't funny to anyone but me. Without naming names, Mr. Lyons simply asked anyone using CTLAC as a communications vehicle (members of Florida Hometown Democracy) to stop the personal attacks against anyone who opposed the proposed amendment. Perhaps a more formal "Blogging Etiquette" can be put together so bloggers can refer to it if they question the nature of what they're thinking about posting. I don't envy you having to make that call. It is a fine line between fredom of speech and abuse of the system. I would hope when people enter the public arena be they politicians or activist that they would understand not every body is going to agree. I do think this spot should be about issues and ideas more than people, but it can at times be difficult to separate the two. I've seen worse on here, or let me rephrase to say that I have read other blogs that in my opinion were far more of a personal attack. But it's the first time I've ever seen something pulled.
Perhaps you can expand on the situation a little and write a blog giving us some guidelines on what constitutes a "personal attack" or perhaps just a permanent link somewhere stating what the rules are, and what is apt to get your blogged pulled.
It is unfortunate that we need it.
