What I learned in the last few weeks on MCS (part deaux)Somehow on Fridays I sometimes just take a look at recent blogs and the spirit moves me to summarize recent developments. 1. J.T. "Mr Speaker" is in bed with developers, is a multibillionaire and is getting richer off of the poor Clay County residents who don't know any better than to sign their name, then not sign their name... How can this be the same county with one of the highest education levels in the state? 2. Animal control well, they control animals. Though they might not do it the way some folks would like. These same nature lovers might take a lesson from well - mother nature. She has her own way of animal control that involves the ultimate fertilizer. 3. Some people want Fleming Island High School to be renamed Bourbon Street High School, they think the principal and superintendent are parade marshals. 4. The County Commission is corrupt and incompetent and is only kept in check by one concerned citizen. Mr. Smith goes to Green Cove Springs is the title of a new upcoming movie. 5. The beltway route was fixed all along by developers wearing wrinkled suits, smoking cigars, and being wined and dined by landowners. Face it folks, if any of us owned thousands of acres in the path of development, we would be booking European vacations and driving Ferraris. 6. All CAPS really is irritating!! Great blog, CCC. I hope you make it a weekly posting. It puts things in perspective and hey, isn't perspective what blogging is all about?

I agree, CCC, this is a great blog, and similar to Mike's BCC report - done with just the right amount of humor & irony. Hopefully you can keep your creative juices flowing and provide the rest of us a regular reminder not to take ourselves too seriously here. Well done. Thanks.

Even those of us who usually try to find the humor in any situation can get carried away with ourselves or our issue and forget, once in awhile, that what we rant and rail against usually doesn't amount to much in the history of the universe. Of course, sometimes a nice, energetic rant just feels good. Michael S. Mann Submitted by k9trainer on Tue, 01/08/2008 - 11:11pm.

That summary represents the MCS blog in a nutshell. I imagine the pseudo journalists at FOLIO see the MCS blog as a field ripe for harvesting when they are looking for more Clay County stories to write. Jazz up the titles a little bit and you have the makings of another potential Enquirer competitor.
