Just When You Thought...That world was going to hell in a raggety handbasket, that way too many politicians are scumbags, that people are stupid, mean & whatever else.......you come across this. At least I hope you will. I came across this on CNNHLN this AM. College girls softball team. One young lady hits her very first home run. Running around the bases, her knee buckles under her & she can't continue. Two members of the OPPOSING team pick her up, carry her around the rest of the bases so she can touch them & the run counts, EVEN THOUGH THE OPPOSING PLAYERS KNEW THEY WOULD LOOSE THE GAME! I don't know @ you kids. But Uncle Rich wants these young ladies running for public office ASAP. That's what it's all about. An dat's da name of dat tune. JATFUR. RichK

Solo - thanks for the happy story. Alway nice to read something that shows the good that is lurking there in most of us. Here's a link to a "good news" website which is updated daily. http://www.gimundo.com/home.aspx Judy Submitted by SoloVoce on Wed, 04/30/2008 - 1:15pm.
Memaw, finder, Sunflower, I've always been a sucker for a warm wet, fuzzy, feel good story. Especially when it has to do with baseball or softball. As stated, it was on CNN Headline News so you still might be able to catch it. Watching the ladies from the opposing team carry the other young lady around makes me think that there might be some hope yet for the rest of us wretches. Glad you all enjoyed & thanks for the other site. Hoorah! You bet your baklava! JATFUR. RichK People are talking about ...Here are the recent blog postings with the most comments. |

What a great story, thanks for sharing as I probably would have missed it. I've always thought there is much more good in the world than what we mostly see and read in the papers! Such a welcome post.
