Clay County Sheriff’s Office detectives have obtained warrants for juveniles suspected in the burglary of the Mike Shad Nissan dealership that occurred Sunday morning.  Detectives believe a group worked together to break into the Orange Park dealership on Wells Road, ransack the offices and steal car keys.  Four cars were stolen including a 2009 Nissan Maxima that was driven off the showroom floor through the glass wall of the business.

Of the four cars stolen, three have been located, recovered and returned to the business/victim by detectives, including the Maxima valued at $36,000.

Detectives are leading this effort and are actively sharing information with detectives from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office who are also investigating a series of similar burglaries at car dealerships in their jurisdiction.  Clay County’s identification of this group of juvenile suspects may affectively end this most recent series of crimes.

The names and ages of suspects were not yet available. Until they are booked on felony charges, their names and photos are not public record.
