CTLAC Lawsuit-Online Donation Site Available

A new website for the CTLAC is available that will allow you to make online donations through PayPal or with a credit card.

Folks, the outcome of this suit will forever effect the Peoples right to Petition their goverment so even if you are against all three amendments sponsored by the CTLAC you still have something to lose in this fight.  Lawsuits are won based upon among other things, case law, so this will be used across the nation whichever way it comes out, lets do what we can to make it come out on the side of the people

This lawsuit takes the rights of the people to vote and put it in the hands of a Judge, is that a pattern that you really want to see begin?

Whatever you can afford, even $5.00 or $10.00 is not too little.  The Courts are notorious for giving the shaft to those without legal representation and it's my opinion that Roy Lyons is betting on there being no legal representation for the CTLAC.

Lets prove him wrong people, lets fill the account for the CTLAC and send a message that the PEOPLE do not appreciate having their rights to effect change in their goverment being under attack for political gain.

Those of you who blog here may want to include the link at the bottom of each blog you write, you can set it up so it is automatically there.  Jane Padgett told me personally that she believed one of the reasons the second petition drive was so successful so quick is partially due to the exposure it got in the blogs.  Everyone reading and participating here made a difference, and we can do it again. I really hate to be corny and cliche but.......

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

And it works great! This is something that everyone needs to think about. As you said Marsha, even if you plan on voting against the petitions they need to be defended.

I have seen in a number of blogs that there are some people that think the petition process is broken and needs to be fixed. This looks like an end around to 'fix' the problem.

Even if it means breaking it to the point that no citizen petions are allowed. We just can't let that happen.

Marsha - great message to the citizens of Clay County and way beyond.

I'd also like to suggest that this link be passed along to others who might not read this blog, but are interested in helping protect our 1st Amendment rights. They don't have to live and vote in Clay County to be affected by the outcome of this lawsuit.

Thanks for posting a very good point that I failed to mention.  Everyone reading this has people they correspond with in email.  While they may not want to get involved otherwise they may donate just because they're a friend or family member because this is not just a Clay County issue.

I will be spending more then a couple hours emailing it to all my contacts, I hope everyone else will do the same.

Marsha,

Your entire thread should be removed because it constitutes a paid political advertisement for a PAC and as such is an ethical violation.

I sincerely hope Jonathon removes any and ALL references to this website from MCS.

It constitutes a citizen reaching out to other citizens who may happen to want to donate to the cause.  The CTLAC didn't post this blog, I did and I am not a member of the CTLAC.

I say to remove it would be a violation of my Constitutional Rights to Free Speech.

http://www.ctlac.com/ If you believe your 1st Amendent Rights are under attack donate to the cause.
