The time for all debate/arguing/insulting over the Primary Election is now drawing to a close. It's time for everyone who has not done so yet to get out and vote on Election Day. So much is up in the air, so much is unknown but in a few days it will all be overwith.
I hope this primary will be a prelude to the largest voter turnout Clay County has ever seen. Nothing sends a message to those still in office and those elected as a record number of voters. Don't let go of the power of your one vote, if we all take that attitude then we can effect change in our goverment.
Voting isn't just a right, it's also an obligation to your community, to your country. It doesn't matter if you feel you're voting for the lesser of the evils, you do want the lesser to win do you not?
If there is a line then take the time to say Hello to your neighbor and discuss the current issues the county is facing. You could learn something you didn't know, and you could pass something along that someone else doesn't know.
It's an old cliche but it's very true, if you don't vote then you shouldn't complain. After all the months of yacking on this forum I would have felt like a hypocrite to not vote which I've already done.
Lets work together so Clay County can be known for something other then dirty politics.

Well said, we may disagree on some things but I feel we both agree that every vote counts.
Folks get out there and make your mark. The only wasted vote is the vote that is not cast. It's your duty, it's your county, It's your childerens future.
Do the right thing, make your voice be heard, make your mark, and be proud.
