Net Question

Just out of curiosity, have any of you had a problem connecting with the MCS site?  I've had some a couple of times in the last week  I would try to access it & a page came up to say the site could not be accessed, that it was down.  On two ocassions, I was posting a reply & when I hit the submit button, WHAMMO! the same thing.  Had to go into word & do it from memory & wait til the site opened up.  Just curious if any of you have had the same problem.

Had the problem myself today. Looked like the server might have been down for a couple of hours.

Mike,

Thanks.  I was hoping it was not just moi.  Grrrrremlins.  I hate Grrrremlins.  Out, damned spot!  OK.  It looks like we'll all just have to get together, burn some sandlewood scented incense, my favorite, sacrifice a pig, or go to Woody's, lift a beer & maybe sing kumbaya or something to lift the curse.  Either that, or tell JB to call nerds on call.  It can go either way.  JATFUR.

I also lost an entire post last week when this happened! I also tried to pull up this site earlier in the day and got the same message about the site not being open for business!

Yes, the server was down a good part of the afternoon today. As I am in West Palm Beach, I wondered if it might be on my end but I can say they do have some serious problems in keeping things up and running primarily (and here I am only guessing) because we have made this site so much more successful and used so much more than all the other Suns combined.

I will now begin applause from us on behalf of all of us for our collective marvelous job. ;>)

Thanks to all, present & future, who assured me that I am not going stark, raving mad.  MAD, I tell you.  Where do they keep the flies?  Please don't tell Renfield.  He loves his flies.  Is Igor lurking in the shadows?  See what happens to me when the CUBS get two, count 'em, two games postponed because of a lousy, stinking hurricane.  Bunch of wusses.  Flies.  I need FLIES.  Walk this way.  Put the candle back! Auntie Em!

I AM Uncle Rich & I approved this slightly psychotic  moment for your viewing pleasure on an otherwise boring Saturday night.  JATFUR.

Jimmaxie,

Since that last post, I have moved on to more pressing matters, such as:  Is it pronounced ee-gor or eye-gor?  Any help would be appreciated.  Next up, the continuing struggle of free will versus pre destination.  That's a toughie.   But it is made easier with a bowl of nice, toasted flies.  JATFUR.

Thank you Rich. Out of the depths of Animal Care despair you have shined a light to lead the way.

I am aslo sure you already know that the Transylvanian pronounciation would A- Gore, not to be confused with the pontificating wind bag who talks so much he has warmed the globe.  Unless, of course, you are the brilliant Mel Brooks, then you must default to I - Gor.  Thus speaketh the English Expert. Go forth and shine with knowledge. :>)

Lily,

I hope you genuflected upon uttering the Master's name.  (Mel, that is) I am a fan, needless to say. Shining light is just another of my responsibilities which is why I always make sure I have fully charged batteries,  Yeah, I think I'll keep it clean today.  Out of curiosity, why were the puppy blogs removed?

Thank you for the pronouncement advise & other kind words.  Now, If you'll just walk this way.........................JATFUR.

TH,

Abby Normal.  What a strange name.  But not as funny as.....Deuteronomy!

Jimmaxie,

The proper English pronounciation, at least from what I've learned is I (short I as in bit) rahn.  Same with Iraq.  I have no idea why the news types started saying eye rak, eye ran.  It might go back to the days of the veeyet nahm (not vi (long I) et nam (short a)) war. Same with the country of Quattar.  It should be kah tar, not cutter.  There's got to be a source material someplace to make the proper determination.

I love that understated humor. Really, you have to ask? Those morons are clogging up cyberspace with all kinds of vitriol without the need, apparently, to take a breath.
