After attending last nights C.A.N. meeting at Fleming Island library the one thing that I came away with was, that come November 4 election the voters voices must be heard by VOTING YES on the local amendements. There were some comments that a judge may delay making a decision until after the election to see how the citizens voted, for or against, and let that vote influence his/her decison making process.
Poor Harold he was soooooooooooooo lonely without any support. He even blamed Pat McGovern for Roy Lyon's actions. Even before the meeting started be made a statement when asked "do you read that papers?" He responed "the papers are biased". I all most fell out of my seat. The Times Union and My Clay Sun biased? He commented that he solicited comments "from the voters before making a decision". Guess he forgot about the garbage tax and utility fees he supported and had several hundred citizens blocked from addressing the BCC regarding these issues that effected them, pro or con.
Just and FYI to those that didn't make the meeting Mark Scruby, Clay County Attorney, who is paid by OUR TAX dollars ONLY represents the BCC.
Marsha was so right-on in her comments.
