Needs....NOT!A Chicken In Every Pot
The old saying went, "What this country needs is a chicken in every pot, two cars in the garage & a good five cent cigar." I'd throw in a refreshing cold beer & a world series win for the CUBS, but that's just me. Here's what we don't need. Another person propelling a vehicle on the road who has absolutely no conception of what the process of driving actually entails. Another person propelling a vehicle who you can hear coming 1/4 of a mile away. More political signs. More stupid people side bar stories in the news. Yet another blog entry on CCAC that accomplishes absolutely nothing positive. More people building &/ or rebuilding in a known flood zone, hurricane zone, erosion zone, earthquake zone, wildfire zone. More presidential candidates talking about issues that have nothing to do with actually governing a country. More attacks, sleaze, innuendo, for the pundits to analyse, take up time, ponder upon & confuse the issues with for the viewing public. More advertisements for natural male enhancement. More people on cell phones doing everything except what they should be doing. More news time taken up reporting on famous people who are only famous for being famous. More blogs about animal control. More hurricanes. More personal interviews with people who haven't yet figured out the basics of the English language. More uplifiting news about the stock markets. More talk shows/TV shows with plenty of stupid people who yell at each other. More shows with judges judging stupid people. Thinner newspapers. More people who don't realise that they shouldn't wear spandex. More guys who don't realise that they aren't fooling any one with their ridiculous, cheap looking toupee's or comb overs. More people with more tatoos &/or pierced body parts. More commercials featuring shouting people or little kids you can't understand. More people on TV or radio who interrupt or talk over each other. More blogs about animal control. |
