Pet Preview: Dogs in danger at CCAC
We've all been watching and listening to more and more stories and accusations about Clay County Animal Control's operations unfold. In reality, the best way for us to help these animals is to neuter and spay, and to give as many pets as we can a home. The dogs below face euthanization; if you can't adopt now, please pass this on to your friends and family! For full information, contact Clay County Animal Control, 3984 Florida 16 W., Green Cove Springs or call 904-269-6342. See more pets online at helpahomelesspet.org.

Pet Preview: Simon says, "I need some help!" (Updated 02-09-08)
This week's Pet Preview comes courtesy of some good samaritans and CatBugs Pet Rescue. Can't adopt right now? Pass this on to someone who can, or make a donation to CatBugs to help Simon get the help he deserves!
Simon is a male Poodle rescued from the streets of industrial Jacksonville last week by a good samaritan. CatBugs rescue founder June Hadlested updated me about Simon on Friday, Feb. 9: "Simon is hat our vet believes to be a smaller version of a Standard Poodle. He is approx 2-3 yrs old. He stayed all week with our vets at the All Animal Clinic and got a complete workover including shots and sterilization. He also was tested for parasites and had everything imaginable, including heartworms. Although he is very shy and timid, he seems to like women and has already wagged his tail for his new foster mom Kathy. Simon is going to have a long road to recovery and his heartworm treatment will not be complete for a couple of mos (sic), but everyone involved in his rescue believes that his life was worth saving. I totally agree. Related: read more | ChanelMartin's blog | login or register to post comments | Tags: adoption | dog | pets
