Unethical?
this was recently posted on MCS.... By CCSOInfo Periodically, members of the Clay County Sheriff's Office will provide information via the My Clay Sun blog in response to blogs related to the Sheriff's Office, public safety and crime in our area. Our goal is to provide information to readers that corrects inaccuracies or expands further on posted information that is helpful to the community. To that end, please note the following in response to a blog posted this afternoon that stated a person died from being tased by a deputy this weekend. There was no such incident. The last CCSO taser-related incident that involved the death of a suspect was on 9-30-06 in the South Hampton neighborhood.
Controversial minister leaves Obama campaign
Controversial minister leaves Obama campaignPresidential candidate condemns words but not ministry of former pastor Ok I know it’s the weekend, and news is slow; but I been following this story since Thursday night and I haven’t seen it posted any ware on the site. Another Sheriff Candidate
I hear that we now have another candidate for Clay County Sheriff. I will not mention his name as that is his job. This gentleman used to work for the S.O. as an electrician and was well liked, and did fine work. He left the S.O. for several years and then asked Rick to hire him back, but was refused. Now he wants to run for the office, or does he? Is he being put in the race by Rick to divide the vote, with the promise to hire him if Rick is re-elected? This gentleman has deep spiritual ties around the county which could be used by the Rickster to counter the Taylor campaign.
Campaign Finance Reports
In case you haven't surfed on over to the Supervisor of Elections website in the past few days, the newest batch of campaign financial figures for Clay County's elected officials and wanna-be's have been posted. I made my first appearance on the list of candidates, right there in the middle of the Republican candidates for the District 3 seat on the County Commission. If you're interested in my particular stats, I can save you a couple of minutes. I have had $1,000 in contributions. Except for $100 donated by Bob Cook, a retired FBI agent who has been a great family friend since we all first moved to the area in the summer of '59, the rest of the money came from me. Less than a hundred has been spent so far, on office things and some copying of petitions to qualify me for the ballot. It didn't take me long to file my first report.
